Argo Partners is led by Richard Dale, an experienced strategy and management consultant; venture capital executive; and R&D engineer. Other members of our team and associate network are all experienced professionals and business people. Argo Partners is also supported by a first-rate administrative team and high-quality infrastructure.

Richard leads Argo Partners and is responsible for its COMET Business Adviser services and Commercialisation Australia Case Manager services. His 20+ years of experience cover top-tier management consulting, new venture development, early-stage venture capital and R&D engineering.
Richard has extensive experience in growth and transformation for a wide range of Australian and overseas organisations; from large corporates to early-stage technology businesses. He was previously Investment Director Amwin Innovation Fund ($42M early-stage VC fund in the CHAMP group), Senior Associate Booz.Allen & Hamilton Strategy Practice, Management Consultant KPMG (London), Investment Consultant Electra Innvotech Fund (London) and Design Engineer with two entrepreneurial early-stage technology firms. Richard’s experience includes leading management consulting projects for corporate clients in a range of industry sectors, as well as for clients in university and public sectors in the areas of research commercialisation and growth of entrepreneurial technology businesses. Richard has managed venture capital equity investments in start-up and early-stage technology firms and has served as a non-executive Director on the Boards of three such firms in Australia and the US.
In addition to his advisory and consulting activities, Richard is a member of the working group furthering the mission of the Australian Association of Angel Investors in NSW and a co-founder and director of Sydney Angels, a leading angel investment group. He is also a co-founder and member of the investment committee at Proto Investment Partners, a specialised early-stage fund manager focused on co-investment with angel groups.
